In 1981 Gary achieved his City and Guilds Photographic Qualifications, and then attained membership of the prestigious British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP). As a result, he has won many awards in Regional and UK competitions and was honoured in 1994 to become the first (and so far only) wedding photographer on Wirral and Merseyside to qualify as a Craftsman of the Guild of Wedding Photographers. He's since qualified for membership of the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).
